RENTAL POLICIES
PONTOON BOAT & HELM, BOAT RENTAL POLICIES:
UPON ARRIVAL: Please arrive at least 45 minutes before your rental start time. We require renter and all operators be present for all instructions. You must be at least a minimum of 25 years old to rent and operate pontoon boats and, at least, 21 years old to rent and operate helm boats. Renter / operator, please bring a photo ID and credit card for damage deposit (debit cards not accepted).

GENERAL POLICIES:
- You must be 25 years of age or older to rent/operate a pontoon boat.
- You must be 21 years of age or older to rent/operate a helm boat.
- Minimum age of any passenger is 2 years of age.
- All required equipment is provided with rental at no charge.
- Must be 18 years of age or older with valid ID to rent equipment (does not include motorized boats).
- No exchanging passengers for guest safety and to prevent damages after leaving the dock.
- With the rental unit, it is prohibited to exchange passengers.
- Only registered guests on each boat are allowed on that boat during the entire duration of the rental.
- All persons involved with our activities acknowledge that said activities are potentially dangerous and agree to hold Presque Isle Paddle Sports, dba Presque Isle Boat Rental, and its owners, officers, employees, and affiliated properties harmless.
- If you have your boat safety license (bring it with you), you are not required to watch the boat safety video.
- All others will be required to watch the video and complete the boating safety checklist and staff will provide additional information.
- We reserve the right to refuse anyone who appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- We reserve the right to refuse renting to anyone we feel cannot safely operate our equipment.
- Pontoon boats and helm boats are pet friendly. We ask that pets stay off the upholstery. Any damages to upholstery may result in loss of deposit.
- All boats are strictly prohibited from entering Lake Erie.
- Renters are responsible for all damages to equipment.

RESERVATIONS:
- Online reservations for pontoon boats and helm boats are strongly recommended and can be made up to 12 hours in advance.
- Same day reservations can be made by calling 814-838-3938 or in person.
- Payment in full is required for all reservations.
- Reservations for the boats are guaranteed but, unfortunately, the weather is not. Make sure the weather is to your liking before reserving. Take advantage of our RezFlex Trip Rental Protection.

CANCELLATIONS / WEATHER:
- While Erie summers are beautiful, they are short and so is our season. We must be able to take full advantage of our summer season. Therefore, reservations cancelled at least 5 days prior to reserved date will receive a full refund. Reservations cancelled less than 5 days will receive a pro-rated refund.
- We do offer trip protection (RezFlex).
- NO SHOWS are charged in full for the reserved rental period.
- We reserve the right, solely at our discretion, to cancel or reschedule reservations due to unsafe weather conditions.
- Reasons for weather cancellations or unsafe boating conditions include: extremely high winds, choppy conditions, all day thunderstorms, lightning and heavy downpours. Again, this will not be accepted as grounds for cancellation unless it is proven to be true the day of the reservation. If we cancel because the weather is too dangerous for boating, you will receive a full refund.
- Keep in mind what constitutes bad weather is highly subjective. We will not accept cancellations for chances of rain, brief rain, windy/cloudy or cold conditions.
- Do not rely on the weather forecast, as they are often wrong, especially when it comes to precipitation.
- The weather on Presque Isle can change quickly, and what starts out as a cloudy or rainy morning can turn into a beautiful day.
- No refunds or exchanges for early returns. Early returns due to dangerous weather will be prorated and renter will be issued a credit for the difference.

DAMAGES:
- We require a signed credit card imprint in case of damages to the rental equipment (no debit cards).
- Credit card must match the person's name on the reservation.
- Renter is responsible for all damages to our rental equipment up to and including replacement costs.
- Renter is solely responsible for ensuring the safety of the occupants and vessel during the rental period and any and all damages must be reported immediately to Presque Isle Boat Rental.
- Renters will receive the copy of the credit card imprint when the equipment is returned undamaged.
- Renter is solely responsible for any damage done to other boaters' vessels.

INSURANCE:
- Presque Isle Paddlesports does not offer insurance to cover watercraft damage. Renter is responsible for all damages incurred during rental period.
- Please check your homeowners, auto or credit card company to see if there is an insurance option available.

REZFLEX RENTAL CANCELLATION PROTECTION:
- We DO offer RezFlex Rental Cancellation Protection that can be selected during online booking. A fee is 10% of rental cost. Choosing this option allows the renter to cancel up to 24 hours before their reservation and receive a full refund (minus the fee). Same day cancellations will not be accepted and will result in loss of rental charge unless due to unsafe boating conditions.

- Choose RezFlex for only 10% of rental cost to protect your reservation for unforseen travel issues and/or inclement weather. RezFlex is highly recommended, if you are booking a reservation a week or more out, as the weather is unknown. Cancel your reservation anytime for any reason up to 24 hours prior to your rental time and receive 100% refund of rental deposit (less RezFlex fee).
